Jessie joins Iowa Conservatory after 10+ years as an Artistic and Music Director in eastern Iowa. She holds a Doctorate from Liberty University and a Masters from the University of Iowa. Before moving to Iowa, she studied musical theatre at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy and New School University in New York City. From Broadway to jazz clubs, Jessie loves singing, acting, directing, tap dancing, and playing piano, cello, or guitar.
Jessie has presented at the Iowa Fine Arts Summit, Volunteer Network Association, Beyond Barriers Women Empowerment event, and others. She is a recipient of Pi Kappa Lambda honors society membership, a Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative graduate, and an International Review Board-approved researcher.
As a speaker, author, musician, teacher, and parent, Jessie adheres to the importance and value of fine arts education. She believes students deserve access to multitudinous opportunities and a high-quality fine arts education that provides a means of expression, cross-curricular connections, engagement, collegiate audition prep, and more!
