Biography

Jaycee Li teaches middle-school math, pre-algebra, and algebra at Iowa Conservatory. His academic background combines expertise in mathematics, statistics, and educational technology, alongside professional experience in both research and teaching. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Statistics and Educational Measurement at the University of Iowa and holds an M.S. in Digital Age Teaching and Learning Technology from Johns Hopkins University.

Jaycee has worked as a research assistant for the Iowa Testing Program and the Center for Advanced Studies in Measurement and Assessment, where he analyzed student achievement data, developed innovative assessment approaches, and explored applications of machine learning and natural language processing in education. He has also taught and supported students in technology-enhanced learning environments, bringing a strong foundation in instructional technology and data-driven teaching strategies.

At ICON, Jaycee looks forward to helping students master Algebra through clear explanation, structured problem-solving, and connections to real-world applications. He is committed to fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and confidence in his students, and is excited to be part of a school community that values both academic excellence and artistic creativity.
