Biography

Kerri Lambert is excited to join the dance faculty at ICON and begin serving as Ballet Director of Nolte Academy.
Before relocating to Iowa with her husband and young son, Kerri was the Artistic Director of Ballet Indiana and the School of Ballet Indiana. Her students have performed with Ballet Austin, Ballet Idaho, Tucson Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet, Cincinnati Ballet, and Eugene Ballet. Prior to that she was Director of the USC Dance Conservatory and Instructor in the USC Dance Program, where she taught ballet technique, dance history, and anatomy. She coaches classical works and variations for performance and competitions, and has choreographed evening-length story ballets and concerts of contemporary dance. She received her M.F.A in Dance from the University of Oklahoma.

Kerri performed soloist and principal roles with Oklahoma Festival Ballet, OU Opera Theatre, Gainesville Ballet, Bighouse Dance Theatre, Anton del Calizo’s Fusion Flamenco, and as a guest artist. She studied the art of dance pedagogy under the direction of Diane Callahan and Mary Margaret Holt. Kerri attended the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet Teacher Training program and is certified in Progressing Ballet Technique and Progressing Contemporary Technique.
Kerri knows she has the best job in the world. She loves coaching dancers to overcome obstacles in every class, build confidence along with technique, and find the joy in effort.
When she is not teaching, choreographing, thinking about teaching, or planning classes, she likes to hike, read, hang out with her family, and cuddle their cat.
