Kristen DeGrazia

Kristen DeGrazia is thrilled to be in her third year with Iowa Conservatory.
Before relocating to Iowa City, she enjoyed a successful career on Broadway in such shows as Les Misérables, Sunset Boulevard, King David, and as an original cast member of Side Show. She spent a year and a half on tour with Les Misérables, playing the role of Fantine. Kristen has performed extensively with theatres in the Chicago area, including Marriott Theatre, Drury Lane Oakbrook, Steppenwolf Theatre, and Northlight Theatre, where she received a Jeff Award nomination for her performance as Violet in Side Show. Locally, Kristen has performed with Crooked Path Theatre, University of Iowa Summer Rep, Riverside Theatre, City Circle Theatre Company, Old Creamery Theatre and Theatre Cedar Rapids. In addition to teaching at ICON, Kristen is the Theatre Arts Director at Nolte Academy, and is a private voice instructor and audition coach. She is a proud member of Actor’s Equity Association and holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from the University of Michigan. When not teaching or performing, Kristen loves to travel with her husband and three children.
