Who Should Apply?

We’re looking for young creatives who are passionate, curious, and ready to explore. Whether you’re a beginner or have years of training, what matters most is your love of the arts and your willingness to grow.

Eligibility Criteria:

Students currently in 7th-12th grade, and those looking for an Arts Gap Year
Available July 11-12 to travel to Iowa City
Have supervision/plan for overnight stay
Passionate about dance, music, theatre, musical theatre, design and production, or visual arts
Open to learning across disciplines
Excited to meet and collaborate with other young artists

Complete a brief application to share more about yourself and interest in the immersive arts weekend.

Travel & Supervision

Students will be supervised by ICON faculty and staff Friday from 8:45 AM through the evening performance, and on Saturday morning from 9AM until their departure in the early afternoon.

Visiting students must arrange their own lodging and supervision for their overnight stay on July 11th.

Please reach out if there is a specific difficulty with finding your lodging.

ICON does not provide transportation to and from the immersive weekend event.
