Mia is a Voice Teacher, Director, Music Director, Actor and Singer. She is the founder and principal voice teacher of the award-winning Gimenez Voice Academy. Students are recognized not only for their exceptional singing, but also their stage presence, preparation, and confidence. Gimenez Voice Academy Singers are regularly invited to perform on iconic venue stages such as Carnegie Hall, can be heard on all streaming platforms, and are invited to attend prestigious performing arts institutions such as NYU, University of Michigan, Interlochen, Juilliard and Boston Conservatory.

She is the Vice President of the Iowa Chapter of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS). Mia is a member of and adjudicator for the Iowa High School Music Theater Awards and the Iowa High School Music Association; celebrating the achievements of students involved in music and high school musicals across the state of Iowa. Mia holds New York University credentials in Performing Arts from Tisch and Music Industry from the Clive Studio.

Mia has performed with conductors and directors from all over the globe including Juilliard, Paris National Opera, New York City Opera and the Metropolitan Opera. She has performed with great American companies including the Lyric Opera of Chicago (Die Miestersinger), Tony® Award winning TheatreWorks in Silicon Valley (Sweeney Todd (Beggar Woman), San Francisco’s Ray of Light Theatre (Andrea, Jerry Springer the Opera), and Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle® award-winning Broadway By the Bay (Les Misérables (Fantine)). Regionally, Mia performs with Timberlake Playhouse, Riverside Theatre, Theatre Cedar Rapids, City Circle Theatre Company, and Nolte Productions. Follow Your Bliss!
